The Niagara Falls Gazette Niagara Falls, NY was Saturday, Nov. 4, 1933
The border crossing Canada to the USA for George Hutchison Taylor  - 26 April 1930 gave the date 11-6-1933 ???  If that is written the American way - 6-11-1933 - could that be a date he was deported  ???  Seems very quick, not sure how those things would work.

Don’t know of him ever coming back to the Peterhead area in Scotland. It was only when my grandmother died in 1981 my Aunt found correspondence from the Salvation Army She had been trying to trace him

I'm a little skeptical about that George Taylor Birth Date 19 Jan 1902 - died 19 July 1996, being the same George Hutchison Taylor sought.

The SS# associated with that George Taylor was issued in Tennessee between 1936 and 1950. What would he be doing in Tennessee? Nobody goes to Tennessee. But people from there do go up to Detroit to find work in the auto industry.

I see you have received his birth certificate and the month & day are different from the SSDI record. While the year of birth often can vary, the month & day usually remain consistent. Example- that George who died in 1996 has YOB as 1902 on SS death record, but when he made a claim in 1966 he stated he was born 1903. The month & day of birth remained the same.

Death record: http://www.rootschat.com/links/01p2w/

==========

His sister Elizabeth Ann died in 1989.

Her obit list as living; her husband Frank, a son, a daughter and a sister Flora Smith. No mention of a brother George who would have been alive if that was him who died in 1996 Michigan.

This is new to me but while living abroad do people not use their middle name as Hutchinson is not down the list as I said this is the first form I have seen like this

One of my uncles tried to trace him a few years back. This is where I got the first dob (19/1/1902)
Now with the new dob (10/4/1902) confirmed with his birth certificate, it looks like we are back to square one.
I thought using his middle name Hutchison he would be easier to trace as it’s not a common name. We were never in contact with any of his siblings while growing up so have absolutely no information on him apart from the emigration and deportation paper clippings.
I would like to thank everyone who have so far contributed to the search.i really appreciate it  ;)
