OK, so getting back to the burial of Edward Parry. Greenway Street.
Edward Parry Age: 74 y Address: Greenway St Parish: St Mary Date of Death: 10/01/1879

I followed Jane and William Woodworth , this is how it appears in the image, so perhaps Woodward was a bad transcription.

Thomas Parry bp    9 Nov 1827    St. Mary, Chester, Cheshire
Father:    Edward Parry. Mother:Anne Parry

1841   Chester
Edwd Parry    skinner 35

HO107/2171/856 p 17

1861 Greenway Street, Chester
William Woodworth waterman    58
Jane Woodworth    56
William Woodworth    17
George Woodworth    16
James Woodworth    10
Thomas Woodworth    8

1871 Greenway Street Chester
Thomas Perry    43 head
Jane Perry    43
Jane Ann Perry    14
Elizabeth Perry    7/12
Joseph Jones    17
Jane Woodworth  grandmother    65 fish hawker.
You will need to look at this as it`s not clear if Jane Woodworth is in the same house and it doesn`t state if she is a widow.
Transcribed as Perry on Anc. .
RG10/3724/ 64 p  17

To be honest i`m a bit confused,  but there definitely a link.

How could Jane Woodworth be the grandmother of Thomas Parry? She would have had to have become a grandmother at 22...

Regardless, Ann Potter is meant to be the mother of Thomas Parry, not Jane.

Looked for more potential children of John and Frances, I.E. siblings of Jane. Found the following:
Frances 1813, Liverpool
Charlotte 1819, Chester
Eliza 1819, Chester

No sign of Ann's baptism as of yet, in Liverpool or Chester.

A name mix up for mum?

Great, thanks for this. This has been transcribed on FS as "Potier" which is why I think I was having trouble finding it.

Found John Potter's death record in Chester in 1830, age 52 (puts his birth at 1778) and Frances' in 1841 aged 59 (puts her birth at 1782).

They married on the 3rd of February 1807 in Liverpool, with wife's name as "Fanny Fisher".

Search occupier surname Potter, on page 2 of results is this.

Chester St Mary plot 275 occupiers . Francis Potter  and others.  Plot name, houses yard and ropewalk.  Map  survey dated 1842.

If you go to the map Rocks, and  Greenway Street   are clearly marked.
So could be a male Francis Potter, but I`m not finding this person in 1841.
