O'Neil and Lordon Census/ Church look ups in Dunmanway, Cork
« on: Thursday 20 February 20 01:15 GMT (UK) »

My maternal G-G-G-Grandparents are from Dunmanway!I've researched a bit and could use a push in the right direction, as I'm stuck. As a lifelong dream, I will be travelling to Ireland this April. Here is what I know. Is it possible for you to help me fill in some blanks?

G-G-G-Grandfather was Eugene O'Neil. Born 15 July, 1808 Dunmanway.
Parents were John O'Neil and Honora (surname? dates?) Did Eugene have any siblings? I know he died in USA and I have been to his home there and his grave.

G-G-G-Grandmother was Margaret Lorden. Born 1813 in Dunmanway. I do not know her parents. She had two brothers: Daniel and Michael. Any other siblings? Dates? Parents' names? Parents' Dates?
Eugene and Margaret married 19 Feb. 1833 In Dunmanway Coom, Kerry. They had a daughter Mary O'Neil 20 Dec. 1833. Mary emmigrated with her parents to USA.They left Queenstown in April 1834 (what ship? Who traveled with them?) headed to Quebec, Canada.

If you have any additional info or can assist, I would be so pleased.More so, if I have any O'Neil relatives still in Dunmanway, how shall I find them?

Thank you so much for your help!
