e.g.
When Henry BEAUCHAMP Widower, occupation, Carpenter, of Downton (no father listed) - married Sarah COOPER aged 20 at Downton 25 December 1841 (father William COOPER, labourer) - the witnesses were George NEWMAN and Betty NEWMAN and the signatures are the same as Charles POOLE witnesses writing. Henry signs himself, Henry
