If you have access to newspaper records, you could try and find what has been posted in e.g. Hull Daily Mail.

The Maritime Museum is closed for three years Chempat...it is under going a major refurbishment here in Hull  ;)

Yes, I read that, but did not know if that meant total closure, or they keep things going elsewhere for limited access.  (I do live in hope).
