Hi I have been doing my family tree for a while but as soon as get to my irish ancesters I am finding it hard to get any imformation. My Hopkins family think from mayo consists of Patrick born abt 1814 his wife anna conmee born about 1821 this name is spelt a few different ways, children mary 1841 Patrick 1845 and Edward 1847 came to England about 1848 any help would be great thanks

Do you have a more exact location?

If they were Catholic you could try searching through the online Parish Registers if they cover that period but be aware that there are lots of parishes-

Are any of them in England in 1911? that census is the one probably most likely to list more than the county for place of birth but you should check all other possible ones for all the family born in Ireland for clues.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
