Looking for Andrew O'Donnell after his arrival in Pennsylvania in 1908. No information has been found on him after this date and no family member knows what happened to him. He was never heard of again apparently.

Andrew O'Donnell
Born 13 Sep 1890 in Kilnockin, Fethard, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
son of Michael O'Donnell, a farmer, and Annie O'Donnell, formerly Daniell

Philadelphia Passenger Lists, 1800-1945
Arrival Date 24 May 1908

It would be great to find out what happened him.
Thank you.

I'm adding this information to help others with searching. I'm sure you have the Irish end of things, but knowing his mother's maiden name and siblings might help pick him out of the pack in the US.

He was born 13 September 1890, Kilnocken, son of Michael O'Donnell, a farmer, and Annie O'Donnell, formerly Daniell

1901 Census
Michael, 40
Annie, 35
Mary, 13
Andrew, 11
Laurence, 8
Willie, 1

1911 Census
Mary and Andrew have left the household. Laurence and William remain. no other children.

I'm posting this in case the family names in the households ring a bell and you know you can tie them to your Andrew. But I don't think it is him, this man is pretty consistent about his arrival year and age, and they don't match your Andrew.

in 1915 at 211 East 95th, Manhattan
Andrew O'Donnell, 21, in US 2 years, conductor, street railway, cousin to the head of the household, Julia Wilson, 35, who was born in Ireland.
other names in the household: Patrick O'Connell, her cousin, and Michael Lean, her brother, 26.

------------
same guy, it looks like:
1920 Census, 229 East 95th, Manhattan

Andrew O'Donnell, 26, brother in law in household of John and Hannah Sullivan. Andrew arrived 1912, naturalized 1919, and was a chauffeur for the Broadway [something]

There is a private tree at ancestry.com that includes his brother Laurence. If you have a subscription or a library near you does, you could try to contact the owner.

https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/pt/RequestTreeAccess.aspx?tid=57143904&pid=38019063282

the owner's name on ancestry is mkod1, so are they this person, who tweets about Irish sports etc.:
https://twitter.com/mkod1

You could try there, if you are on twitter or want to be.

The last thing I can see at the moment is this longshot.

Andrew's brother Laurence seems to have died 9 September 1953 in St Joseph's, Tipperary. he was a farmer from Kilfrade at the time.

But in case that is not him, can you or someone find the obituary for this Laurence O'Donnell who died in 1929, and whose father's name was Michael?

Berkshire County Eagle, 5 February 1929, obituary for a Lawrence O'Donnell, father named Michael.

Thanks for looking.

No that ancestry tree does not help. It is owned by a nephewRIP of Andrew and I am a contributor.

Andrews brother Laurence died 1975 in Ireland . So the query you posted is not his brother.
Yes the 1901 Irish Census you posted is him and his family and yes his mother was Anastasia/ Annie Daniels

I didn't find any Andrew O'Donnell in the NYC city directory for 1910 or 1911.

I looked in Philadelphia, thinking he might never have gone to his cousin's in NYC. There were 2 Andrew O'Donnells in the city directory for 1909 and 1910, but your Andrew is probably  not either one.

he is definitely not the man at 742 North 22nd, he was born in 1868 and arrived in 1885.
he is probably not the man at 5616 Stokes, Germantown, in 1910. I didn't find him at that address in 1910, but there is a Charles O'Donnell, born in Pennsylvania, parents also, living there. He is a brother in law in the household of Richard and Margaret Barry. Margaret was also born in Pennsylvania. So the Andrew who was at that address in the City Directory is likely their brother, and therefore likely born in PA as well.

Ya, its a difficult one this one. His nephew(RIP) tried looking for him over the years but it came to nothing. As he said about his uncle Andrew who emigrated in 1908 - "He was not heard of afterwards."
Perhaps nothing became of him and he died OR maybe he went to Australia...
