Percival Taylor Hyatt died 7 April 1957, Saanich, British Columbia. He was married at the time of his death. Born Shepton Mallett, Somerset 28 September 1887. Came to Canada abt. 1913. Married Joyce Bowes (otherwise Joyce Lavinia Gifford Hyatt). Canada? Daughter of William Bowes and Bessie Castle.

Joyce born Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire, England. Bowes heritage - County Durham, Castle - Devon.

Joyce was firstly married to Joseph Peter King, 27 July 1914 at Thunder Bay , Ontario. Killed during WW1 in Canadian Forces or divorced? or just died?

Joyce died 10 January 1976, Vancouver.

I am trying to find the Hyatt/Bowes/(Mrs King) second marriage to Hyatt. Any children from either marriage?

They may be able to help with lookups on this pair. The Thunder Bay public library may have marriage notices in the city paper.  Hope this helps,

The Royal BC Museum Genealogy site is not working for me at the moment so can't follow up on this.  Joseph Peter King of the correct age, born Ireland, with wife Lavinia Bowes (this from family search) died in Vancouver 20 July 1956.  In 1925 Joseph Peter King crossed the border at Buffalo N.Y. to visit his sister with document showing his wife as Lavinia.
Percival T. Hyatt entered Canada in 1921 coming back from a visit to England and returning to BC with notation he was single.  He again reentered in 1923 returning to BC and this time he was married.
Are you looking at similar names for Percival's wife and he did not marry Lavinia Bowes but someone else with maiden name unknown?

Joseph P King and Lavinia G King are in Winnipeg in 1921.  They have a daughter Josephine A King aged 6 and born in England.

Having a quick scan through the military file, it looks like Lavinia went to England while Joseph was in the war.  Then she moved to Winnipeg.

According to the GRO free search, there is a Josephine Mary King, MMN Bowes, born in 1915 in Hinckley.    Could be this family??
