Liverpool burial/cremation records
« on: Wednesday 26 February 20 14:44 GMT (UK) »
Good Afternoon,
I have been tasked by my mother to try and locate the grave of her father - my grandfather Robert Bolton, who died in Walton Hospital Liverpool aged 62 on 25th May 1964.  I am informed that the only way to access the relevant burial/cremation records is to travel to the Liverpool Record Office and search them on-site ??    Please could somebody offer me advice as to the best way to proceed ??

I would also like to locate the final resting place of his brother, James Bolton, who died in Aintree Hospital aged 60 on 15th September 1966 and his sister, Emma Sims, who died at home in Bootle on 19th August 1972.

Any or advice/help will be much appreciated.......

Sorry Canal Boater, I have just realised you are new around here.
Welcome to Rootschat!

If you have access to Ancestry then you can get the images of these burial register entries by searching in the database England & Scotland, Select Cemetery Registers, 1800-2016 which now includes Liverpool Cemeteries.

If you aren't sure how to get to the database, go to Search then choose card catalogue from the drop down list. Put the database title in there and it will appear in the results.

If you don't have access to Ancestry then your local library may do and you could use their computers onsite.

Well there you go, fast doesn't always equate to accurate -  as you can see I have edited the post about  Emma.
You can't get the staff these days. Apologies Canal Boater if you saw the original with an error.
