Would anyone be able to put me in touch with a Family History person/Genealogist who would be able to do a look up for BMD records in Belgium. Regards David

I believe Nivelles (Brabant) region. My wife was born in Nivelles 1950 during a visit to family.

The records, unfortunately, are not public for 100 years after birth. The best bet is to contact the municipality (Nivelles) with as much information as you have. Once you get past 100 years (an older siblings perhaps) searching the records in Belgium is a pleasure AND freely available online!

Sadly my wife or her sister's now there Grandparents names to search. The only possibility option is a brother Rudy? Philippart who was born about 1917 which would clear the 100yr rule. Thanks for trying to help.

Ps. Can I ask what the website is to search prior 100yrs and is there an English search option.

Familysearch.org has images of births registered in Nivelles up to 1912.
Search.arch.be also has the same records up to 1912.
Also to bear in mind that the birth could've been in a nearby (but different) municipality.

Once you've got back to the 1800s, things can be more straightforward.

In 1911, one Philippart birth was registered in Nivelles:
Born 13 July in Nivelles, Jeanne Madeleine Louise daughter of Désiré Maurice Philippart aged 24, ouvrier malteur (I presume to do with malt in beer production) born in Thines (close to Nivelles) living in Nivelles and his wife Marie Louise Legrand aged 26 housewife born in Ypres (Ieper in West-Flanders)

Maybe they are somehow connected?!

although born in Thines , Brabant - this individual died in Nivelles ,Brabant in 1975 aged 62 - I wonder if the tree owner may be able to advise you ??
