So , born in april, may , june or july 1946. Marriage of the parents 1946 or before is possible.
Next year  you could get the certificate if they married in 46.

Excuse me , I don' tunderstand : whose certificate is it ? Is it Marc's certificate?

I have posted a question on geneanet  in order to have an answer about the possibility for a professional to get the certificate ofGilberte . I'll let you know.

I have got a reply.

The royal decree has not been published yet and so , until it is  ,you'll have to wait 100 years to have access to the certificate  (2027). And if you want to pay a professionnal he or she 'll have to get the authorization of a judge .
So , you will have to wait for the decree to be published in Belgium, i think it could be quicker than paying a professional. Or find some papers such as a "livret de mariage " where the name of the parents of Gilberte could be written.  Is the name of the parents written on a british passport , did she have one, who's got it ?

Good luck.

Hi All

I note what was said about the 75yr rule for marriages. Having had a discussion with my wife & her sister's there may be another option regarding marriage records. There were 2 older sisters for Gilbert. Yvette philippart & Rachel Philippart. Rachel we believe was about 10yrs older that Gilberte.

Yvette Philippart married a Norbert Opezzie
Rachel married a Artue/Arthur,  surname not-known

Is this a possibility?

Anther one one geneanet suggests that , being her chils , your wife could try to get her certificate . It's worth trying.
I'll write a letter in french and send it here in a few minutes ( 10 january 1927 is the right date ?)
