Hi folks ,

The above Dina Kinchin married James Eustace in 1807 West Hanney, Berks. In the 1851 census they are both  listed aged 65 & 66 but Dinah's birth place is shown as Gloucestershire in what looks like "Candanes".
A look around fails to find a parish or place by that name so can anyone help please?  A baptism would also be welcome in about 1785.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Jomot,

Thats a brilliant find - thankyou very much.
I can understand the misinterpretation as the original register was hard to read.
Fortunately the BTs were interleaved with a separate location name as shown here (below).

The Forest of Dean Family History Website has transcribed thousands of Gloucestershire Marriage Allegations.  (Free to join).

There are a couple of PINCHIN’s at Coln St Dennis/Denis with a father named John.

Mary Pinchin aged 17 ... 30 November 1786 to Richard Sutton a labourer of Brize Norton in the County of Oxford and Hannah Pinchin  25 August 1794 aged  19 to Robert Swinford.  There’s normally a Licence and a Bond, one has more detail e.g age and occupation.

Not sure if this is the same couple.  Public members tree on Ancestry

There are other children of a John and Mary PINCHIN christened earlier at Withington, Glos.

My father’s maternal line lived in West Hanney for most of the 19th century and I can see my xxxx grandparents marriages a few entries after Dinah.

Thomas WAYN & Martha PARKER 24 October 1808 (only 5 weddings in between).
