Marshall Family

Hi I've been trying to research the family of my Gt Gt Grandmother Edith Marshall for years but with no luck. So far I know she was born in Alford Lincolnshire in 1889 to William Marshall and Emma Pickersgill. So far I've had no problem finding her mother's family but lots of problems finding William's family. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
