McTavish Cape Province South Africa

Hi, Wondering if anybody may have any information on Alexander David McTavish. Born in South Africa 12 August 1865 Cape Province (could have been in the Grahamstown/Albany area) He married Alice Mary Adelaide Shaw born 1874. Alexander passed away in Port Elizabeth S.A. on the     
21 August 1954 and he was a carpinter by trade.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help on more information on Alexanders' parents or as to where i may find it.
