I am hoping that you might be able to find any information on a Louisa Jane Wiggett who was incarcerated in 1929 in Victoria, Australia. Thank you.

Just for starters Louisa sailed on 17 March 1927 on the Baradine, destination Melbourne.  Her occupation was given as press hand.

I had a look on the Trove website but couldn't find anything that appeared to be relevant.  Where did you pick up the information that she had been incarcerated?

A family member happened to mention it.

Presumably the family member did not enlarge on that?  Did he/she mean that Louisa had been in prison or put in a mental institution?

This could be one of those pieces of information that has become garbled over the years.

Is she related to you in any way?  Have you traced any other members of Louisa's family?

I checked the image of the travel record and see that she went out with her father Williams Wiggett.  No mention of any other members of the family.

Looks as though her mother died in 1916, not sure about her brother though.
