Missing Richards' Children, Portsea.
« on: Friday 06 March 20 18:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I think I am looking for some missing children of Edwin Richards & Fanny Haile. They married in Portsea in 1807, yet the children I have for them are all born after 1821. I have a feeling there are quite a few. Can anyone have a look for me please?

Thanks in advance.

Suzanne.

I cannot see this marriage.
I do see one for James RICHARDS and Fanny HAILE.  Is that the one you mean?

There also appears to be William Henry 31 Aug 1828.

For a marriage taking place in 1807, I would not expect to see children being born much after 1827/28.

Added: The address is Voller Row - seen it many times, especially for dockyard workers.

Amelia Adelaide 17 Jul 1831. Voller street, Ropemaker

Hi All

Thank you for that. I did track two down last night. The Richards family were all rope makers until my great grandad, who turned his hand to carting.

Kind Regards Suzanne.
