« on: Sunday 08 March 20 09:20 GMT (UK) »
HELP NEEDED PLEASE.
Looking for the burial place of HENRY ROWLES who died in 1952 in Oxford, age 79.
His last known address was 83 Cowley Road, Oxford.
He served in the Labour Corps as a private in WW1.
But which cemetery is he buried in.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to rootschat

His death registration has him as Henry A Rowles.  Have you checked Oxford newspapers to see if there is a funeral notice, it is also possible he may have been cremated.

A couple of possible births are Henry Rowles, born first quarter of 1873, birth registered at Witney, mother's maiden name Cook, and Henry Rowles, born second quarter of 1874, birth registered at Witney, mother's maiden name Winfield.

He was Henry Arthur Rowles, died third quarter of 1952, the registration district was Oxford, and he was aged 79.

I don't have access to any Oxfordshire newspapers I'm afraid.
This is more information on Henry.
Henry Rowles was born on Wednesday,  5th March 1873 at Wood Green, Witney, the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Rowles (née Cook), a ‘Painter & Decorator’.

He was baptised on 1st August 1873 at Holy Trinity Church, Wood Green, Witney.

He married Norah Deborah Williams on 24th September 1903 at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Oxford. They had 7 children; 3 sons and 4 daughters.
Norah Deborah died in 1969 at Headington, age 84.
