I did wonder about that one, but mother being Elizabeth and Ellen’s middle name had me wondering. Still not sure 100% it’s them. If they were mine I’d be purchasing death certs. 

Mother should be Ellen, as per marriage. However, if I have the correct 1901, she WAS Eliza. 

Finding them entering NZ would be useful.

Added: I think I have found birth of Ellen/Eliza/ Elizabeth and she had a sister Maria Jane:

From the information you have provided in your opening post, I believe there can be no doubt that the details I have given relate to the person about whom you are seeking death particulars.

The dots all join AND it is a distinctive name..

Yes, I think you are correct and that the cemetery has the incorrect middle name recorded for Ellen.
