Isaac and Caroline (nee STEPHENS) PEARN lived in EVandale, Tasmania in the late 1800's. They had 10 children, 9 of whom survived to adulthood.
Caroline died in 1891 aged 52 (her name at death is registered as Catherine). Isaac died in 1916.
I am seeking the descendants of their children, in order to return an old photo album to the family.
Three of their sons went to New Zealand:
*Herman Henry PEARN (b c1866 d1908 NZ unmarried)
*Percy PEARN (b1878 d 1909 NZ, married Mabel EVANS 1905. Mabel returned to Australia and lived in Victoria, but I haven't found any children to the couple).
*William Clement PEARN (b1875, d1929 NZ. He married Annie ? and had 3 daughters -
Eva Winifred (m George J KENNEDY 1927);
Florence Ella (m Samuel D RICHARDSON 1930);
Lillie Marion (m Leonard C PAY in 1930).
The other children were:
*Thomas John PEARN (b 1868)
* A daughter born before 1870, and still alive when their father died in 1916. I only know she existed because other family notices mention that there were three daughters surviving and the other two weren't the eldest.
*Eva PEARN, born in 1870. She married Richard POPE in Perth, WA in 1894. They had 2 sons who both died in infancy, and Eva died in 1898. Richard died in 1904.
*Alfred Isaac Russell PEARN (B1871, died 1932 in Adelaide SA. He married Lillie FORSTER in 1915 and they had one son, Russell Allan PEARN in 1916. Russell was married but divorce in 1948 and I don't know if they had children.
*Joseph PEARN (b 1874)
*Maud Mary PEARN (b1880. married William JOHNSTONE in Hobart in 1928).
*The last child, Frank, was born and died in 1881.
I suspect the photo album belonged to Eva, who married Richard POPE, and possibly ended up with the Pope family after the death of Richard. There was a post it note in the front of the album which said "Photo album that Grandma Pope had". Obviously Eva isn't Grandma Pope as both her children died. Eva, Richard and their 2 sons all died in Southern Cross, WA (Eva had typhoid).
None of the photos are named, but the photographers were based in Tasmania, WA, Adelaide and Melbourne.
The reason we think it belongs with the Pearn family is that there is a memorial card in the front of the album for Caroline Pearn.
Have trawled Trove and Papers Past, and indexes in NZ and all states of Australia. I don't have any subscriptions so haven't check the electoral rolls. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
