I'd forgotten this (or hadn't noticed) that the Archers thread was still running.    Time we started afresh ...

What's happened to Lynda Snell ?   Someone get me up to date please .... I've not heard the programme for a few weeks.

Had to google it, Lydart - but explosion in kitchen at Grey Gables, Lynda heroically rescued by Freddie, but at the time of my googling was seriously injured.

At the time the kitchen was closed for a leaking soil pipe problem to be solved.

Cause of explosion unknown at the moment. Lynda is currently in intensive care with severe burns - no better last night but apparently no worse. The Archers will be diminished if she dies

There was also a workman called Blake injured. I may be wrong, but I thought Freddie recognised the name when he was told about him when he was at the hospital.

But, - (at time of last listening) Ambridge remains a Corona Virus free zone!

As I recall, they always used to have characters in 'The Bull' suddenly discussing snippets of major news? Isn't that how they introduced Princess Diana's death? Or am I wrong??

I believe they always had/have a small section that can be easily removed and a major news piece inserted. As you say Romlilly it is usually a discussion between characters, though don't think it is always in the Bull.  Not sure why they haven't done that yet about Coronavirus.

I can remember it being the Sid Perks character a few times, - perhaps he lived near Pebble Mill, - and so could pop in easily?
