Oh no!

They're not going to use the accident as a means of changing actresses are they? And pass the change of voice off as being down to 'smoke inhalation damage'?

I hope not. Although Linda was heard today, there's no actor listed for the part next week in Radio Times, either. Possibly just to keep up the suspense ... remember, Lilian pretended not to have a mirror with her.... but Carol Boyd'd be a very hard act to follow...

Linda's such an integral part of Ambridge, - even Prince Charles made a point of talking to her, when he visited the Set...

“For the time being we have enough episodes recorded to keep taking listeners to Ambridge as usual for the weeks ahead but like everyone else we are faced with an unprecedented situation.

We’re working on plans for beyond this given there are significant challenges and the safety and wellbeing of our production team and cast are paramount. We’re sure listeners will understand this and we’ll update as plans become clearer.”
