There have not been any topical inserts in EastEnders nor Coronation Street either.

Martin

And now both have suspended all current filming...

Btw, was that a new actress playing Lynda Snell in last night's episode? (It didn't sound like her?)

Romilly.

Relistened and I think it's her voice - just an octave lower to indicate her pain and the effect of the drugs

I wasn't sure at first, but think it probably was the original. Must go and have a look in the "Radio Times", at the week's cast list, to check.... back in a bit

No-one listed for the character of Linda Snell???
TY
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

Oh no!

They're not going to use the accident as a means of changing actresses are they? And pass the change of voice off as being down to 'smoke inhalation damage'?

I hope not. Although Linda was heard today, there's no actor listed for the part next week in Radio Times, either. Possibly just to keep up the suspense ... remember, Lilian pretended not to have a mirror with her.... but Carol Boyd'd be a very hard act to follow...

I do hope they don't kill her off /change actresses!

Linda's such an integral part of Ambridge, - even Prince Charles made a point of talking to her, when he visited the Set...

Just saw this:

BBC The Archers

Statement from Jeremy Howe, Editor of The Archers regarding Coronavirus.

“For the time being we have enough episodes recorded to keep taking listeners to Ambridge as usual for the weeks ahead but like everyone else we are faced with an unprecedented situation.

We’re working on plans for beyond this given there are significant challenges and the safety and wellbeing of our production team and cast are paramount. We’re sure listeners will understand this and we’ll update as plans become clearer.”
