Capetown thanks so much for your help. Do you mind me asking, you've gotten most of this information off FindMyPast have you? It's dinnertime over here in Australia but I will sit down and go through what you've found soon. Thanks again.

I subscribe to Ancestry -

Just added Wiltshire Family History Society - info (re CD) onto  my previous message.
There must be someone who has this CD -

Also mentions Summary convictions....

The Contributor re the prison record/marriage belongs to FindMyPast.  Wiltshire marriages etc are also on Ancestry.

Will see what else is on Ancestry - as I am sure other Contributors will.

The Wiltshire OPC  do not have the baptisms and burials for Wroughton but they do have the marriages. It was from there that I took the marriage of Thomas & Anne.
Ancestry have images of the original Wiltshire parish records, hopefully including Wroughton but I do not have a subscription.
Also of interest would be the marriage dated; 28-Feb-1767 of Abbot Osborn, widower, of Wroughton to Jane Phillips, [Sp] of Wroughton. by licence.

**Please disregard this message I thought I was posting on my post for the Wiltshire lookup.**

Thank you  :) You can only have so many subscriptions, I have a paid subscription for Ancestry but after being led "up the garden path" I am reluctant to add information with being to cross-reference it against something I know to be already correct and clearly you are obviously more adept at Ancestry than I am. Is there a chance the Baptisms at Wroughton and Christchurch Swindon could be a duplication of the one record or for different families?.

Will see what turns up!!

If you Google

Wroughton - Marriages 1700-1799 @ Wiltshire OPC Project

There is a spreadsheet - with about 5 OSBORNE marriages ....

I use the Find search button

Here are two with appears to have a family name

28 February 1767 - OSBORN Abbot - Widower - of Wroughton
to Jane PHILLIPS - of Wroughton,  Spinster By Licence

22 September 1768
OSBORNE Abbot, Bachelor Yeoman of Lyneham
Jane Dore BEAMES of Wroughton, again by Licence

(next to Thomas' marriage to Ann Fair...
says : 'in licence, Thomas is a bachelor, age 21, Anne is a Spinster age 21)
