Death Info: Sarah Emma Preedy

Greeting my fellow Rootchatters,

I have managed to locate Sarah Emma Preedy (nee Jenkins) on the 1881 census living in St. Annes Soho, Middlesex/London England.

She is living with her husband William (Henry) and they are under the name Purdy.
He is aged 45 and her 48.

Sarah Emma was born in 1831 (kindly helped here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=774316.0)

I'm sure I have located William on the 1901 census living in Islington. He died in 1912 I think.

According to one of my cousins, William Henry Preedy remarried in 1891 to an Eliza Martin in Strand district. (Can anyone confirm this?)

I have checked FreeBMD and the GRO search for a Sarah, Emma, Sarah Emma and all sorts of versions of Preedy between 1881 and 1901 but to no avail.
Can anyone help on this?

He appears to be the same person, here in 1891 with Eliza

If Emma did die, I would be looking for a death close to William's second marriage date.

William (Henry) Preedy was a Scene Shift in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
He remarried in 1901 to Eliza Martin.

God alone knows what has happened to Sarah Emma Preedy (nee Jenkins) by the time the marriage has happened.

I am actually descended from Sarah Emma's son William Henry (b.1865).

It givesme a date to search back from … I've looked for Sarah Emma's death from 1881 to 1891.

Freebmd has an 1884 death for a 54yr old Emma Preedy and another in Edmonton 1886 aged 55.  Both deaths match the birthyear you gave

Not yet. She is Sarah Emma and on all census she is shown as Sarah so I was a bit "put off" those but they make sense.
Edmonton is not close to The area (Strand/Islington) that the family lived.
Brentford is a bit of a stretch too.
