Well, bad news, this ITM Notice does not appear in December 1925 at Whangarei.

I checked the whole quarter, October to December, twice, as well as the registration districts on either side in the register.

It reveals that the intention was registered in Margaret Hudspith's parents place of Paparoa.

Also that John Campbell had been in residence for 2 years - wonder if that was 2 years in NZ or 2 years in Mareretu? Hopefully, NZ, which means a narrower search for him on passenger and crew records from Australia.
