I was going to suggest that we asked GS to open up "The Rootschat Arms" but after tonight's announcement we can't do that.  ;D

Oh what a shame the Rootschat Arms is closed.  Let's hope they don't get rid of all the staff and it will be open again soon.  In the meantime - we salute you Rootschat Arms.

I haven't been shopping since last Sunday (waiting on the pension to come in next week), but one thing I did manage to pick up was 4 cans of crushed tomatoes and some sharp cheddar, which should help with the pizza making?  Also have a box of Merlot - cheaper by the box!

Over here non-essential (i.e. clothing, furniture, etc.) stores are closing down until further notice - most notably Ikea and The Bay (Hudson's Bay store).  Schools were already off for March break (16-20) but 3 more weeks - at least - has been added to that.  Various options are being offered to help kids keep up with their learning like on line courses and using a government owned TV station to broadcast educational programs. My daughter is a teacher, so she is at least home with the kids.  My son in law drives a bus, which of course exposes him to the general public on a daily basis.

Oh yes, my song has to be 'My Sharona' (with a slight variation as you can imagine)!

Cheers

I really hope everyone is enjoying the party.  There is certainly enough food and drink for everyone to enjoy.  I have to leave you all now as Masterchef is on and I want to see if there are any ideas for cooking pork three ways.

I will hand over the baton now - I have sanitized it.

See you all tomorrow.  Don't drink too much prosecco.

I think another song might be Peggy Lee singing “Fever!”
That’s me dated!

Never liked it !

I told a lie, inadvertently !
There is a bottle of Belgian beer in the utility room , a Duvel blonde.
Just a small one .
Well potatoes cool now and  so I will  put them in the freezer.

What time is the party and the dress code?
Do I get my Tarara from under the bed ?

Cheerio, don’t start without me!
Viktoria.

It occurred to me talking about " the party" what we imagine what we all look like,  just a lighthearted thought

Well, it is me in my picture, but I've changed a lot since then. Don't think I'd get away with that now.

Just a bit off topic from the current subject of this post ,but an email from my opticians, one of whom saw me yesterday in the supermarket.
They know I will need new specs , that can now be sorted in a couple of weeks time ,” eyes wise”, but they are not stopping tests as yet and ask me to phone about this .
However things change day to day and we will just have to see.
But I thought it was very good of them to contact me.

I am very tall and slender, well I was last time I went to the hall of mirrors at Blackpool.
So you will recognise me easily!
However, I get violent when inebriated, sing  rude sings and tell dubious jokes.
You have been warned.
 Cheerio.
Viktoria.
I seldom get asked a second time.

AAAw Roobarb!! I am SO disappointed that your picture is not of you.

All this time I have thought it was - presumably you are not actually as cute looking as you are pretending to be.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.
