Can I come to the party if I bring beef stew?  We bought beef and fresh vegetables earlier this week and made a huge pot of tasty stew, we had some for our dinner and froze the rest in tubs for home made ready meals - I'm sure we can spare some.  I also have a bottle of Prosecco  ;D

I think my Karaoke song will be the Beatles tune "Get by with a little help from my friends" (I will sing it out of tune though  ::))

 We'll Meet Again
Quote
Strange this song cropped up on the news earlier today... Not sure what the story was but this song was on.

Dame Vera Lynn's 103rd birthday

I also put this one on the silliness thread Don’t stand too close to me by The Police

It occurred to me talking about " the party" what we imagine what we all look like,  just a lighthearted thought

Just seen a clip on BBC of some hotel workers that were told earlier today they have lost their jobs . However , they lived in as well as part of their job, so there were pictures of them leaving carrying all their belongings . Where are they supposed to go??

Coylumbridge Hotel https://metro.co.uk/2020/03/20/hotel-staff-sacked-spot-made-homeless-amid-coronavirus-outbreak-12427892/

Apparently it was 'an administrative error'  :-X

That must make the staff feel a whole lot better.

Jool - the stew sounds delish.  It will go down very well with a mushroom or cheese omelette and prosecco (we're getting quite a bit of that).

I loved that 'Flatten the Curve' song.  I think I'll be singing that all evening if you all don't mind.

I would just like to make it clear - that is not me in my profile pic!  My hair is longer and I don't have a moustache (well I hope not  ;D)

I fire up my breadmaker once or twice a week. My song will be "They're coming to take me away haha" by Napoleon XIV.

WE'LL MEET AGAIN, DON'T KNOW WHERE, DON'T KNOW WHEN.
