Ankerdine - I don't see why the party can't continue.  I think it should go on for the length of the outbreak (not outbread as I typed first).

Sounds like a good idea.  ;D.  Why not have a separate thread for it and leave the more serious talk about coronavirus on this thread.

As suggested - a new thread just for the Corona Virus Party.

Everyone is welcome.  All you need is to bring something that has either been in your cupboard for years and is now out of date or something you have obtained from the panic-buying spree.

You also need to chose a karaoke song, with a corona virus theme.

This was started on the 'State of Emergency' thread.

Let's see if we can keep the party going for the length of the outbreak.

I'd like "It's going to be a long lonely summer" but I don't remember who sang it.

I think its from Sealed With A kiss by Brian Hyland. This thread is turning into Deserted Streets Discs. My luxury item would be 10 toilet rolls!!

To give you an idea of how important Social Distancing works, I have printed it and laminated it and stuck it on the fridge  ;)
Hope it helps to further your understanding.
Carol

I can't believe that this has received so little attention given the seriousness need and importance of self isolation when so many of us are at risk  :-\

My son is a nurse in A&E, and is busy sharing this to as many people as possible. I'm worried about him and get very annoyed when I see people ignoring the advice or when I hear the "It's just like flu" trope.

Sorry Carol,

I did discuss it with OH so it did not go unnoticed.  It certainly makes you think how easily it will spread.

Thank you also PharmaT  for explaining it.
