Help please: William Quain-Quaid B. 18 Jan 1839-Croom Limerick
« on: Friday 20 March 20 18:20 GMT (UK) »
Help please,

I am trying to find out more information about William (jr) ( b. 1839) parents- His father was William Quain or Quaid and his mother was Nellie-Ellen-Helena Fitzgerald De Boherard.

I did find one marriage for William (Gulielmus Cullinane) -5 Feb 1826-Ballingarry Limerick- to Helena Fitzgerald- spons: Joannes Carroll and Marguerita Fitzgerald.

Who were Nellie's parents ? Would Marguerita be her mother ?  I assume this Nellie--Ellen would have been born abt 1806-1820 (& William abt the same).

William Quain-Quaid (jr) b. 1839- married Kate Fitzgibbon b. 1841 Bulgaden Limerick( her parents were James Fitzgibbon & Marie Margaret Sullivan )

I have found a few likely records but am unsure if they are correct or not? Can anyone help me ?

I would also like to know when & where William ( sr) & Nellie (Fitzgerald) Quain- Quaid are buried ?

Thanks so much in advance for any help :)

Jila

Thanks for your help :) Most of those postings are my own though..

The one thing I noticed on the marriage for John Quaid ( I think this is brother to my William b.1839)  & Casey in 1882 - it mentioned "Camass Crean "

I never noticed that before perhaps that could be helpful :) Would that still be in Ballingarry ?

Thx again

You will find an Avalanche of Fitzgeralds in area...

Ellen Fitzgerald de Boherard  sounds posh but she is just  Ellen Fitzgerald of the High Road  (de Boher ard)   ;D
