It appears that the party is being tamed a bit tonight but that's fine, as it's Sunday.  A good choir practise is wonderful for the soul.  I'm not sure my singing voice will make the grade but I'll give it a good try.  Does this mean we have to put away the prosecco and hot pants?  Can we bring them back out tomorrow night?

Answers on a postcard please...

A Welshman was shipwrecked ,the only survivor he was washed up on a desert island.
He was there for years, one day there was smoke on the horizon so he got a smokey fire going on the beach.
Eventually a small boat landed with four seamen in it.
They asked the Welshman questions etc ,he had no idea how long he had been there,it was twenty years.
They asked how he had occupied his time - he showed them two small buildings in a lovely green valley.
Told the men they were Chapels.
“ But why two.”?
Well, said the Welshman THAT’S the one I go to and THAT’S the one I DON’T
go to!
You have to understand the Welsh people were very loyal to one little Chapel
and seldom went to another.
I think they were ahead of the game re Corona Virus.!
That is just so it might just be a Corona joke.

Cheerio.

Llwyd -- can you sing the Welsh National Anthem please? I just love that. I don't know the words, so people won't have to listen to me singing (relief all round).

Also we could sing 'Always look on the bright side of life' --- can't remember who sang that actually.

However there's no-one at the party tonight - must be recovering from last night whilst building themselves up for tomorrow. We'll see.

My hen laid a haddock on top of a tree,

Glad barks and centurions throw dogs in the sea,

My guru asked Elvis and brandished Dan’s flan,

Don’s muddy bog’s blocked up with sand.

Dad, Dad! Why don’t you oil Aunty Glad?

When oars appear, on beer bottle pies,

Oh butter the hens as they fly.

Oh I like that!,I have a Welsh  daughter in law ,I will sing it just to annoy her,( someone should!)
Lots of Vit  D and  the Alendronic  acid that helps in its assimilation I think .
For Osteoporosis.
We could sing , “And can it be  that I should gain——“ nice top tenor part .
Charles Wesley 1739.

What time does the party start ?
The topic seems all mixed up.

Thank you to the lovely singers from yesterday.  I think it must have been a bit of a reflective day.

Pennines - Always look on the bright side of life was by Monty Python.

So, I see everyone is ready for the next party.  It appears that we have a different one every day.  Day 1 - Karaoke.  Day 2 - 70's theme.  Day 3 - Singing Practise.  So, Day 4 - suggested by someone (sorry, I can't remember who - I will get myself organised on that front) Pyjama Party extended to a Sleepover.  If this carries on (and I hope it will) I'll be running out of ideas so please add or PM yours and we'll get to them all.

So, everyone, clean your teeth, wash your hands, grab your satin PJ's and frilly nighties and Let's Party.

We will need some food that can be eaten under the duvet and the alcohol levels seem to be reducing quite fast (Viktoria??) so could we replenish those.  I will bring two packets of Hobnobs and a bottle of pink champagne.

I also know the lyrics of Calon Lan so perhaps Llwyd and I could do a duet.  I fear neither of us will sound anything like Katherine Jenkins but times are hard and I'm sure we'll be doing our best.  ;D

Groom --- I never realised you were Welsh!

Thank you for giving us the words to the anthem. One looks a bit fishy though.

Rishile it was me who suggested a pyjama party - it was because I am a lazy so and so and had my jim jams on one night before the party - couldn't be bothered to get changed into my hot pants. (Nor fit in them).

No Welsh in me I'm afraid. I think it was GS who told me about that version a few years ago, so I googled.  ;D ;D ;D  I am in Wales at the moment - not a holiday though but an errand of mercy. Just keeping an eye on the news in case I need to rush home to prevent being stranded here for weeks.

Have we had the song by The Police - "Don't Stand So Close to Me" ?
