Some adult cancer charities accept hair too. I began cutting mine months ago in preparation for losing it. I saved it for birds. I decided to do it early so that birds would get chemical-free hair.

Thank you Trees for telling us about this charity. It is not one I had heard about.

Understandably their website says that they cannot accept hair donations at this difficult time --- but it is certainly a charity well worth supporting in the future.

Maiden Stone --- may I extend my very best wishes at what must be a very challenging time for you. I do sincerely hope that all goes well and you come out of the other side back to full health.

Two of my son's girl friends have donated to the charity it is doing wonderful work as do the adult schemes . Maiden Stone I also send you love and best wishes for a complete recovery. It was a good thought to help the nesting birds too. I put the hair off my brush and  moss out along with  the feed and water never see it being collected but it does disappear so I hope it is being used.

Oooh another party can I come please? Just tell me what to bring umm not too much spare lying around but maybe I could make some paper hats.
At the end of the war  I was woken up by a man telling mum to put the kitchen table and chairs out side so all the children in the street could have the party of their lives.It was V.E. DAY.
