Edward Austin Cowley Owen drowned 6th August 1917
« on: Sunday 22 March 20 21:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I am looking for any information relating to this person who drowned at Kirk's Ferry on 6th August 1917.
He appears to have been known as Austin and was a Civil Servant.
He was born in 1890 in Godstone, Surrey, England.
The death announcement was made in the Ottawa Journal on 10th August 1917.

Are there any records relating to the inquest, any immigration records available?

Thanks
K8T

Can't find him on the 1901 & 1911.  Have you checked the Canadian 1901 & 1911?

Milliepede and CaroleW - you are both quite right that he doesn't seem to appear on the 1901 and 1911 Census.  I am assuming he has been mistranscribed on the 1901 Census somewhere.  He may be away at school like his two older brothers.  He may turn up somewhere on the 1901 in the future when someone find him and edits the entry.

Thanks for looking
