Robert Parkin
« on: Tuesday 24 March 20 13:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
I have a relative on the 1939 UK register called Robert Parkin born 9 January 1915, living in Thorne Yorkshire with his brother Percy Parkin and Percys wife Sarah Parkin (who later became the wife of Robert Parkin in 1942.) The problem is I cannot track down any birth registrations for Robert or Percy Parkin anywhere. Could another pair of eyes please look to see if I am missing something as I don't really know that area very well. Percy Parking was born 15 May 1912, he married Sarah Ward in 1931 in Thorne.
Thank you in advance

I wonder if he was a half brother or other relation of some kind but still can't find a birth  :-\

Have you got his marriage?  Is the same father mentioned.

Percy Parking was born 15 May 1912,

The birth registration in Thorne with mothers name Baxter was Sep 1911 so maybe they weren't sure of birthdates exactly.

Possible parents in Thorne marriage Sep 1909
Alice Louisa Baxter
Arthur Parkin

Thanks for all your help, I am going to order Roberts marriage cert tomorrow to Sarah, its the only way I think to find his fathers name. I have looked for Wallace Parkin as a protencial brother born in 1910 in both 1911 and the 1939 record but he is being elusive, also I have looked for the Alice (Baxter)and Arthur Parkin in 1911 and they don't want to be found either. Thanks for your help xx
