We  now know thet Charles died in Widnes.
Someone very kindly checked the burials for St. Nicholas graveyard in Sutton and
the St. Helens Cemetery but he is not there.

What other cemeteries are likely that could be looked at?

Hello TroopaRollo.
Charles Rowles is buried in Grave no.1154 Section 2C of Widnes Cemetery. The burial took place 17/3/1928. Cemetery record 11235.
His wife, Mary Jane is buried with him (Cemetery record 25398) The record shows that she died 9/3/1963 at Whiston Hospital and gives her home address of Dykin Road, Widnes.
I will make a note and, when we are allowed out again, I could go and find the grave and take a photo for you.
Cheers, Mike.

Thanks MichaelCharles,

Amazing and very well done. It is very much appreciated.
If there is a chance of a photo of the headstone, if there is one, that would be fantastic.
I can't tell you have pleased I am. I have been looking for a long time.

ROLLO

Hello, Rollo. This afternoon I have visited Widnes Cemetery. Regrettably, I was unable to find a headstone relating to your relatives. Many were illegible, and many grave sites had none at all. I will try and send you a photo of the section of the cemetery where they lie. For some reason, I am unable to attach a picture at the moment.
Cheers, Mike.

Mike - you can't attach anything to this thread because it is a "Lookup".  I suggest that you contact Rollo by PM and exchange e-mail addresses.
