I have two lawns to cut, one of which is partially meadow (nothing to do with the effort of mowing it all, what on earth do you take me for  ::))

What astonished me was the volume of cuttings from the small back lawn (unmeadowed), which more or less fully occupied my brown garden waste bin. I had some residue cuttings which I put on one side and are now in the bin after it was emptied on Thursday  :D.

Really grows, doesn't it, grass.....

Good news!. Our garden waste bins are to emptied but, it appears, only over a period of just two weeks. Because they are fortnightly collections this means everyone, who has paid for 2020, will now have their bins seen to in that period.
We're hoping to have them emptied and then being able to persuade the binmen to let us refill them with the stuff in the black bags and then empty them again.

Wish us luck - our three recycling centres were opened again last Monday so we are going to brave the rush this pm.

Ours open soon but the "overflow" stuff has gone in the landfill bin and been taken away. At some point though we will probably have to brave the trip to the recycling centre because the garden waste bins will be emptied next week as a one off UFN.
