Frances Butterfield 1698
« on: Wednesday 25 March 20 07:21 GMT (UK) »
She was baptised 7 Feb 1698 in Stoke D'Abernon Surrey.
I am trying to locate a  marriage.
It is thought that she may have married a Joseph Crockford about 1715 - 1717 possibly in the Stoke D'Abernon or  Effingham Area Surrey.
As the crow flies the distance between the two places is just over three miles
Any help would be appreciated

Hello garstonite,
To date I have not found the actual baptism document.
The dates have been taken from The Parish registers of Stoke D'Abernon Surrey 1619-1812
Her father was I believe the Reverend John Butterfield and Mother was Elizabeth

Sir Francis Vincent, who was elected one of the knight's co. Surrey in 2 parliaments, married Rebecca, daughter of Mr. Jonathan Ashe, by whom he has issue:
1. Anthony; died young.
2. Francis; died young.
3. Thomas; died young.
4. Sir Henry, 6th bart., who in 1727-8 was elected member of Parliament for Guildford, married Elizabeth, daughter of Bazaliel Sherman, esq.
5. Richard
6. William, who married the daughter of the Rev. Dr. Warren.
7. Catherine, who married George Phipps, esq.
8. Frances, who married William Ward.
9. Elizabeth, who married the Rev. John Butterfield.
10. Anne, who died young.
Sir Francis died 10 February 1736, and was succeeded by his eldest surviving son.

Hello garstonite,
Yes thank you I was aware of the link to The Vincent  / Ashe family.
I am sure that Joseph Crockford died about Mar 1730 and is buried in St Lawrence Church Effingham Surrey.
(A Frances Crockford married a John Bradford 17 Jan 1733 in Effingham Surrey.)
Only thing I cant seem to find at the moment  is a marriage for Frances Butterfield to possibly Joseph Crockford.
The baptism details I have for all of the children show the Father as Joseph Crockford and Mother as Frances!
