Dead end
« on: Wednesday 25 March 20 11:13 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone I've hit a dead end, I may have made a mistake (its been known lol)
My Great Grandmother is Gertrude Simpson 1897 High Hoyland (Barnsley) her parents are George 1854 Cudworth (Barnsley) and Mary Anne Simpson 1864 (not sure where she was born). I think Mary Anne's maiden name was Taylor but I'm not 100 % on that. Any help appreciated.

1901 census in High Hoyland says Mary Ann was born in Denby Dale & 1911 says Kitchen Royd

GenUKI has a very useful "Where Is It in Yorkshire" guide:
https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/YRY/Where

That says both Denby Dale and Kitchen Royd are in the parish of Penistone.
