are the Hughes relatives?

If all the numbers are right in that 1940 census in the last post, then maybe Kathleen Smith's maiden name was Hughes.
The Smiths were in Detroit in 1934 when Margaret (Millar) Hughes died, but Charles & Mary Hughes were in Chicago, at least in 1935.
Why would Margaret be living with a non-relative?
If so, could this be a case of siblings marrying siblings?

So could we presume there might be a Charles Hughes/Kathleen Hughes and Archie Hughes.   

We have Archie presumably born England - can't quite read that on the 1911 but they all immigrated 1905.
Charles Hughes born Canada. Kathleen Hughes born Canada

I presume the K stands for Kathleen

On the 1911 census for William, Margaret & son Archie Hughes, you can see Charles & Katherine Smith listed below them. Katherine is born England and immigrated in 1905, same as for  William, Margaret & son Archie.

This might not be them after all. I found a couple births in Birkenhead to a Hughes - Miller couple and the children's names don't match the couple in Toronto

So is the son Chas really Archie
