Great response here too, it was nice to be able to "see" and wave to our neighbours.

Thank you everyone in the emergency services.

A great response in our area. Clapping, whistling and fireworks, people shouting "stay safe" to each other.

I clapped my dry, sore, cracked hands off.

Thank you NHS  :-*

personally we are VERY thankful to ALL NHS STAFF they are so wonderfully dedicated
saved the life of my hubbie on 26th March 2017 his 60th birthday and again two years later almost to the day!

Thoughts are with all families who have lost loved ones and those in hospital at this most difficult  time..........

That was great! Good response in my terraced street where everyone usually keeps very much to themselves. Waves and shouts of "Stay Safe".

Came in with a big smile on my face!

Take care all, Tony. x

Yes good on my street also - I was armed with a pan and large serving spoon. Hard to see how many of us there were with it being dark - but a lot more came out than I had expected.

Does anyone know if it's now supposed to be a nightly event please? I do hope so.

I can't believe I knew nothing about this... I wondered what on earth was happening when I heard all the commotion outside.
My own fault for avoiding the news pages for the last couple of days!!

Pennines, it's a shame you don't still have that tin bath to whack with your serving spoon, it would have sounded great  ;D

Jool -- you are right! I don't know what happened to that.

I think it must have doubled up as a washing tub back then.
