John and Elizabeth might be the couple the parents of ocian_c's cousin. Elizabeth is white.

Looking at the photographs of the children in reply 9, they could very well be mixed race.

someone has done the Dorsey family on ancestry.com. It would be well worth your while to sign up for a few months.

I think so too. He has 2 fathers for Clem Dorsey, if I remember right. But the links to the documents might save you some time looking for the right line. I didn't have time to comb through it.

Is this him? There is only your John Bush at that address in 1942.
