Daley/Daly and Durcan/Durkin
« on: Friday 27 March 20 20:53 GMT (UK) »
My great grandma Mary Agnes Daley/Daly was born ? in Foxford/Leckee/|Toomore nov  1867. Her mother Mary Durcan/Durkin married Charles Daley/Daly in 1866. Mary died in childbirth, there may have been a twin who also died. Mary Agnes turns up in York age 14 living with auntie AnnBrady(nee Durkin/Durkin) and husband Hugh Brady. I cant find anything about how she got from Foxford as a baby to York living with her Aunt. I cant find a birth for her . I have visited Foxford / Toomore/ and Swinford on 4 occassions but cant get any further. Charles and Mary were married in Foxford RC Church , i have a copy of the certificate in 1866, but i understand the Church no longer exists. C=I would be grateful if any of you folks can help or advise me , thank you

Mary Agnes turns up in York age 14 living with auntie AnnBrady(nee Durkin/Durkin) and husband Hugh Brady. I cant find anything about how she got from Foxford as a baby to York living with her Aunt.

So you have her on 1881 census in York but not on 1871 census? Were Hugh  & Ann Brady in York in 1871?
How do you know that she was with her aunt in York when she was a baby?
There won't be travel records as it was internal migration not emigration.
When did Charles Durkin die?
A lot of people left Mayo after 1879 famine.
