Jutsum mystery 10 Oct 1864.
« on: Saturday 28 March 20 20:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi , first off I have put out feelers to see if fellow Jutsum researchers have the death certificate of theses two family members , if not I will order them , I have discovered Ancestery has cemetery details on line now and yesterday I was searching for Charles Jutsum died 10 th Oct 1864 . I found him in a common grave in Brompton . Where the mystery is the same day of burial 13 th Oct a child 18 months old ( until now I didn’t know existed ) was buried in another common grave . Is there a newspaper that may disclose these two deaths ,a fire , a murder ,a tragic accident . I hope I find this with the death cents but in the meantime if some kind soul can point me in the direction of newspapers I can start looking ASAP.

Thank you for reply , I had gone through Free BDM and couldn’t find the child’s death so had started to doubt myself . We have ordered the fathers death certificate to see if it mentions cause of death and from there will try to see how the child died . Ie , infectious disease or accident . I will post result . Bye Fred .

The father and the son died on same day of Scarlet fever . Very graphic death certificates , no explanation for the different graves but they were common graves and a poor family , the poor wife and family , thanks for all help , Fred

How sad.  My maternal great grandfather and his 2yr old daughter died within a day of each other and are buried together in a public grave
