Had intended to sow some beetroot and carrots but our dance teacher and musician are on Facebook holding a virtual tea dance so we are practicing in a limited space.

Stay safe, stay at home he tells us, and we will be back together in reality.

Woke up late, if it had been last week it wouldn't have been late but BST said it was. Change of time plays havoc with my body clock. Felt like crying. Took a cup of tea back to bed, watched This Morning, another cup of tea during that, finally persuaded myself to get up properly. Couldn't be bothered to wash my hair.

Went for my usual walk, not many people on the field but still had to skirt around the dog walkers who had stopped to pick up the dog's ball. Lurked in the woods to see if anyone was on the path before stepping onto it, the usual ducking and diving between there and the field if anyone was coming towards me.

Sandwich for lunch, deciding what to do this afternoon.

Guess I'm not like all you Rootschatters who get up early with a spring in their step, I've never been a morning person.

You must be a night owl then, my husband is up later than me but he definitely isn't a night owl

I cannot sleep anymore once I have woken up, my husband can which  since he left work,  has been an annoyance to me, when he worked washing would be out early, since retiring I  have to wait for bed linen , even more annoyance with a new washing machine that takes ages, written  about previously , I often lay awake for hours which my husband also said he did, doesn't mention it now he has a fitbit,  it tells the truth.!!

That's what I mean LM, I've encountered so many people throughout my life who think there's something wrong with me because I don't get up early (when I have the choice). We really can't help it you know!  :)

I do realise that, when we were teenagers we slept for England, it is the wrong way round , I often think of people living alone who toss and turn, if I have a restless night I have a look on Rootschat or have another look at my FT, then I have another try at sleeping

There is nothing at all wrong with you, we are all different, thank God

Day 14 of lockdown nationally, although this area already had some restrictions a week earlier as we were one of the first parts of France affected.

My husband normally works from home 2 days a week, so going full time wasn't a huge change - he's quite appreciating not having to commute! We keep more or less to our usual routine, so I got on with housework during the morning while he worked, then prepared lunch.

This afternoon I needed to go shopping - only the second time since lockdown started, because my cupboards and freezer were pretty well-stocked. (Not foresight on my part, I hasten to admit, but a well-timed"buy-in-bulk" promotion at a local hypermarket just before the coronavirus hit the country.) To my surprise there was no queue at the local supermarket and very few gaps on the shelves: they had everything I needed, and even had a small amount of hand sanitiser.  :o

Now to portion up the meat for cooking/freezing and make some veggie soup. The less agreeable task for today is to postpone our May holiday until September, change flights, etc.  :(

I'm finding myself drifting into the 'Don't do today what I can put off until tomorrow .... or even next week ....' sort of bad habit.

I've spent the last week wearing old sloppy clothes, slippers with a hole in, jumper with thin worn elbows ....  I find my self doing what my daughter would call 'Letting myself go ...'   and why not ??

Time to posh up when this virus is sorted !!

(But maybe tomorrow I really must 'Pull Myself Together' .... )
