Found a Hartford Connecticut funeral in 1924 which also mentions a Rev John J Callahan ) which would possibly discount that Worcester one)

Hartford Courant Hartford, Connecticut 5 Dec 1924, Fri    Page 18

John J Callahan might be this man. His mother was named Margaret Anderson. So if it is the right family he is the nephew of Margaret (McCabe) Anderson's husband. I haven't looked for the tie in of John J Anderson and Margaret Anderson.

John J Callahan, b c 1889, Massachusetts, father in Ireland, mother in Connecticut, student at La Salette College, Hartford, in 1910, at 85 New Park Avenue - see top of page which says "La Salette" for a few of the lines on the page, including his.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MK27-R5P

-----
connecting the seminary student with an exact date and place of birth:
US Passport Applications
issued 15 June 1917
John J Callahan, born New Marlborough, Massachusetts, 27 August 1888
his father, a naturalized citizen of the US is now deceased.
lives in Hartford, CT
occupation: Catholic priest
last left the US 2 August 1912 and am temporarily living at Fribourg, Switzerland, etc etc.

birth certified by the Provincial of the Missionaries of La Salette. It says September 2, 1888, Great Barrington, Massachusetts. But it refers to the baptismal records of St Peter's Church, Great Barrington

another reference to La Salette College, Hartford, in these records.

-------
his birth in New Marlborough, MA:
Births registered in New Marlborough, Massachusetts, 1888
August 27, 1888
John J Callahan
parents: Dennis and Margaret (Anderson) [Callahan]
father: a farmer, born in Ireland
mother: born in Meriden, Connecticut

Nice :) Most Massachusetts births don't give the mother's maiden name ...

Margaret Anderson's parents were Andrew and Mary Anderson:

Marriages registered in New Marlborough, MA
married in Meriden, CT
November 11 or 16, 1887
Dennis Callahan, 27, of New Marlborough, a farmer, born in Ireland. parents: John and Margaret Callahan
Margaret Anderson, 27 of Meriden, CT, housekeeper, born in Meriden, CT, parents: Andrew and Mary Anderson, her first marriage

married by John T Walsh, Parochial House, Meriden, CT

the date of marriage column says November 16, but the date of registration says November 11.

Mary, 32, born in Ireland
Mary 7,
Sarah 5,
Lucy 3
John Anderson, 1, born in Connecticut

So, as far as I can figure:
Andrew Anderson (1827, Ireland - )
...+ Mary Reynolds (1828, Ireland - )
......- John J Anderson (1859, Connecticut, probably Meriden - 3 May 1943)
.......+ Margaret A McCabe ( died about 23 Dec 1931, Hartford CT)
.....- Margaret Anderson (born abt 1860, Meriden or Cheshire CT - )
........+ Dennis Callahan  (born Ireland - )
............- John J Callahan (27 Aug 1888, New Marlborough, MA - after 1934)
.................- La Salette priest, officiated at funeral of his uncle's wife, Margaret McCabe Anderson
