Lizzie Jones, Anglesey/Bristol.
« on: Sunday 05 April 20 17:17 BST (UK) »
I need some help to find Lizzie Jones.

In the 1891 census Lizzie is a visitor in the household of Albert Barnett, in St George, Gloucestershire, together with his brothers George and Ernest, and William, a boarder whose surname is indecipherable. Lizzie’s age is given as 24, her occupation is Ladies Maid, and place of birth Holyhead, Anglesey.

George in born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire in 1865, to Frederick Barnett and Mary Ann (nee Bishop)

Lizzie marries George later in 1891. Her age is consistent with census, and her father is given as Richard Jones, a labourer, who is deceased.

I cannot find Lizzie in any census prior to 1891, even allowing for name variations, or a birth reg that I am happy is hers. Nor can I find George and Lizzie together afterwards.

If anyone could suggest anything, I’d be most grateful

Yes, I’ve had no luck at all!

That entry is interesting, is this George, I wonder? Although the lady’s  age is wrong, if she was Lizzie it would make her 11 when she married!

That George and Mary are still together in 1911, George is ahead of Household, and there is also John James, father in law, and a couple of a James brother in laws with them.

And a death for a 26 year old Elizabeth Barnett in 1892, registration district is Keynsham which is not a million miles away from where they married.

So looks like Elizabeth (Lizzie) died and George remarried

The 1891 marriage took place in the Keynsham RD
