Tried to work out the signature but the stylised script makes it anybody's guess.  I may have missed a dot above an i, second last letter.

Well done restorers - and what a beautiful lady

I always find it tantalising to wonder which (if any) of the colours of dress is the right one?  Such a different effect with all of them.

The Victorians did like bright colours, didn't they, and so I wonder if Jim's bright blue is the closest?

We will never know - yet another one of the things as researchers you have to resign yourself to....

& another.

So nice to see you're still a Rootschatter as well Jim!  Still appreciate all the dating help you've given me over the years, it's helped so much.

Another one that hasn't lost their touch either.  Love the blue!   8) 8) 8)

Hi Ian

Haven't "met" you yet but I see you're a fellow restorer.  :)  Anyway, thanks for doing this, I'm hopeless at reading handwriting.  I might post yours and Japeflakes enhanced image on the handwriting board and see if any of the experts there can decipher it.

Cheers

Thanks for your kind comments Caz, I've been ordered by the NHS to stay indoors for 12 weeks falls in the vulnerable category what better way to pass the time of isolation to visit my favourite restoration forum and all the great restorers.

Stay safe and be well.  :)
