Hello again  ;D

Some time ago you’ve helped me to trace the BARNARD/BERNARD family and now I would love to find out more about Thomas ILLMAN the husband of Elizabeth Barnard who married in West Grinstead 1723.

Can someone help to trace his family? The only baptism for a Thomas I can find is in Ardingly in 1680 but I’m not sure if he is the man I’m looking for and there could be other baptisms for a Thomas Illman in the area

greetings

Eliza

FreeREG has 3 possibles have a look.

Remember when searching to look for usual surname and then go back and use soundex option.

1680 Ardingley you have but would be 43 at marriage so unlikely I think;
+
Thomas ILMAN 1687
Thomas ILLMAN 1703

Thank you again Trish and Jonw54 :)

Totally off topic here but reading through for the first time I thought it was a nice gesture to reduce your age from 65 to 54 Jon, although on 2nd thoughts if the number is not your age but your year of birth then you have got older! ;D

Hi Trish  ;)

Thank you  ;D Freereg is very helpful but Freereg or for example Ancestry and Familysearch have not all records or not all parishes are online that’s why I’m often uncertain and it’s difficult for to find the right person or family.

Thomas Illman 1680 in Ardingly is unlikely but also a possibility  :(

Thomas Illman born 1687 Hurstpierpoint is also a likely candidate
