Burial of Philip Puttock [1853]
« on: Wednesday 08 April 20 23:07 BST (UK) »
Hi

Is anyone here able to find a burial of Philip Puttock in November 1853. I know he died on 20 November 1853 aged 67 [his death was featured in a local newspaper] but so far I haven't found his burial.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
Matt

Hi there

Thanks for that info. I guess it is entirely possible the paper got his age wrong although I can't see how they'd get it wrong by almost 20 years. His death is also reported in another newpaper I think so I will check the age in that as well.

The burial date does fit with the death date as given in the paper. It's a shame that his burial was not reported.

Thanks for sending the link to the PR by the way. What is the film reference for this? It would be handy to have this as I have other burials in the parish I want to check.

Best Wishes
Matt
