You could get a photocopy one of the children's birth Certs for €4, than at least you'd know his name.

It is starting too look that way but at the moment they way everything is I cant afford it :( but I will keep looking and if I really cant find it I will have too.

As far as I know... BDM's can't be Registered in person at the moment due to Virus

As sinann says.... Photocopy of Cert is the way to go

Thanks :)

Ive found Marys's headstone and it reads the following;

in loving memory of MARY GAFFNEY
Crossmolina and Cavan
died 21-oct-1990
aged 82 years

her son DICk
died 3-sep-1992
aged 56 years

She died in Crossmolina so do you think maybe Cavan was her place of birth? or maybe just the town she lived in for a long time? mind you she also lived in Middlesex for a while and there's no mention of that on her headstone? lol

Anne Mary Gaffney..Late of Gurteen, Sligo and Manchester

most probably no connection but.... Undertaker is in Crossmolina, he might be able to get you name of whoever made g/stone for yours, he might have been u/taker for yours!.

You could then ask if he can pass message to family as he probably won't say who paid for g/stone

https://rip.ie/death-notice/anne-mary-gaffney-ballindine-mayo/279003 with email address for u/taker
