Street name?

Hi,

Am wondering what the name of the St is in this Baptism record.
They are from St Boltolph Without BishopsGate. Have looked up Liew, Lew, Slew and other variants of this with no luck so far.

Looks like New Street to me.

What year was the baptism?   I searched the 1881 census by address for the parish of St Boltolph Without BishopsGate and found a New St

sept, 1838 was the baptism. by 1841 census they were at bell lane, maybe ill look into new road again. Thanks.

think you might be right about new st, its just round the corner from bell lane.  i also though it could of been an S. thanks for your help.
