Greenends, Alston District Late 1700s/early 1800s
« on: Saturday 11 April 20 14:11 BST (UK) »
My ancestor Thomas Bell (1768-1820) lived at Greenends during the abovementioned period. His wife was Mary nee Craig who died in 1811 and is buried at Alston. I believe Thomas was a joiner but may have done some small farming.

I am seeking information on whether this was a locality of several houses or was it a single property? If so, does this property still exist? Curious..

Can some one please advise me on these questions? Much appreciated.

Cheers,
Rob

Greenends is now a rather nice group of holiday homes ( i know because we stayed there quite some time ago!)

It is a little to the north-west of Nenthead.
